Thank goodness summer has started! We have been keeping ourselves busy with friends, swimming, running, shopping, and housework (ugh). Last Friday night was my Young Woman Recognition Night for completing Personal Progress, which turned out very nicely thanks to Mom, who pulled most of that load with the preparations, food, setting up, etc. Also, big THANK YOU to Grandmother Branche and Aunt Lela at the Sweet Sicilian Bakery in Fallbrook for providing the delicious baked zitti and gelato! I really enjoyed my night and everything went well. My favorite part was the slideshow set to music with pictures of me growing up. Love Dad's enormous glasses and Mom's hair by the way 1993-1994..... haha.
Mom, other Young Women, and I went to St. Vincent De Paul's in downtown to serve lunch to the homeless. It was tiring but very fun and a great experience. We are planning to go again sometime next year.
BIG NEWS.... Dad is selling his 1993 Ford pickup truck!!!!! It's older than me! We are going to replace it with Pa-Ta's blue truck because it's in great condition. Looks like I have to learn stick shift after all... :D
And yes, WE GOT MR. JINX ON A LEASH! We were at Target and saw a cat harness and thought, oh why not? At first it took some force to get it on him, but today I was able to get it on without to much hassle. Jinx loves going outside and roaming around, and he doesn't even want to come back inside! I want to keep training him and see if I can take him on a walk down the street!
